Terms of Use

Last Updated: September 24, 2026

Welcome to the website of the Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation, Inc. (“Takitani Foundation,” “Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of takitanifoundation.org (the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. About the Website

The Website provides information about the Takitani Foundation, its mission, scholarship and grant programs, recipients, partners, activities, news, and related resources.

The Website is primarily informational. The Foundation does not accept donations, purchases, or other payments through the Website.

Certain functions described or linked to on the Website, including scholarship applications, may be provided through third-party services and are subject to the terms and policies of those providers.

2. Scholarship and Grant Information

The Foundation strives to provide accurate and current information about its scholarship, grant, and other programs. However, program requirements and details may change.

Eligibility requirements, deadlines, award amounts, selection procedures, available programs, and other program terms may be modified, updated, suspended, or discontinued by the Foundation as appropriate.

Information appearing on the Website does not guarantee eligibility, selection, funding, a scholarship or grant award, or any particular award amount.

If information on the Website conflicts with the official application materials, program guidelines, award documentation, or other official materials issued for a particular scholarship or grant program, the applicable official program materials will control.

3. Third-Party Application Services

Scholarship applications are not submitted directly through the Website. The Foundation uses a third-party application platform, currently provided through GrantInterface.com, to administer applications and related materials.

When you leave the Website to access a third-party application system, your use of that service is subject to the third party's own terms, privacy practices, security practices, and other policies.

The Foundation is not responsible for the operation, availability, security, or independent practices of third-party platforms.

Some scholarship applicants may be under 18 years of age. Information submitted through a third-party application platform is collected and processed through that platform rather than directly through the public Website. Please review the applicable application materials and the third-party provider's policies for information concerning the handling of application data.

4. Restricted Partner Areas

Certain portions of the Website may be password-protected and made available only to authorized Foundation partners or other designated users. These areas may allow authorized users to access or upload documents and other materials.

Access to a restricted area does not create a general Website account or give a user permission to access any other restricted information or systems.

If you are provided access to a restricted area, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any password or access information provided to you. You may not share access credentials with unauthorized persons, attempt to access materials for which you have not been granted permission, or use restricted materials for purposes unrelated to the reason access was provided.

The Foundation may modify, restrict, suspend, or revoke access to restricted areas at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and its content—including text, graphics, logos, design elements, scholarship materials, documents, photographs, illustrations, and other original materials—are owned by or licensed to the Takitani Foundation and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Some photographs, logos, materials, and other content appearing on the Website may be owned by scholarship partners, grant partners, schools, news organizations, photographers, or other third parties. Such content remains the property of its respective owner and is used by the Foundation with permission or as otherwise permitted by law.

You may view, download, or print Website materials for personal, educational, or other noncommercial purposes, provided that you do not remove copyright, attribution, or other proprietary notices.

The Website may recognize current or former scholarship recipients and other students through names, photographs, schools, awards, biographical information, achievements, stories, or similar information.

This information is provided to recognize recipients, communicate the Foundation's mission and impact, and preserve the history of Foundation programs.

8. Third-Party Websites and Content

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, application systems, educational institutions, partner organizations, news sources, social media platforms, or other external resources.

These links are provided for convenience or informational purposes. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the third party, its products or services, its views, or all content appearing on its website.

The Foundation does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party website is subject to that website's own terms and policies.
